HOUSING
Energy saving tips for your home
Habitat for Humanity of metro Denver is building its new homes according to energy saving guidelines set by Energy Outreach Colorado, CoPirg and Environment Colorado.

The Handyman Program
This program operates out of Denver and Ft. Collins. This program provides minor home repair and safety services to limited and low-income seniors. Volunteer handymen and women perform simple home repairs and home maintenance jobs such as installing grab bars and handrails to reduce safety hazards and prevent falls and injuries in their homes. The Handyman Program helps Colorado seniors stay safe in their own homes for as long as possible.

Home Repair and Rehabilitation Programs
Many organizations throughout the state offer low interest loans and/or grants for home rehabilitation, emergency repairs, weatherization, or accessibility modifications. Most programs are area-specific and your home must be located within their parameters to be eligible. The HERO Alliance cannot guarantee eligibility or fund availability. Please contact each organization for more information, eligibility criteria and fund availability
