9NEWS Business Reporter Gregg Moss spoke with the Stock Show's Vice President of Operations Marv Witt Wednesday morning. Witt says the 2013 show has more livestock than they have had in years.

"As a matter of fact, we're so overcrowded we had to build more pens in the stockyard. [It's a] great sign for our economy but also great sign for our cattle industry. Denver is still the center of the entire nation when it comes to the livestock business," Witt said.

The stockyard is not only the largest it has been in years but it is also the last one left in the world. Witt considers it a hidden treasure and a must-see for the kids.

A not-so-hidden treasure is the PBR Bull Riding final. It will take place Wednesday night and tickets are still available. Witt showed Gregg some of these bulls who may look calm now, but are just resting up to take on the cowboys later on.

"A lot of these bulls come from Colorado. There are bulls here from Texas, Oklahoma and Wyoming so we've assembled a great set of bulls for the last three nights of bull riding," Witt said.

The National Western Stock Show runs through Jan. 27 with everything from a llama show and wood-carving demonstrations to the more traditional rodeo events. Parking is free including overflow parking at Dick's Sporting Goods Park near Interstate 70 and Quebec Boulevard on specified dates. For a full list of events, parking and ticket information visit
