Nick Carter - 9NEWS Meteorologist |
|

Nick Carter is the weekend meteorologist for 9NEWS Saturday and Sunday mornings. He also reports on 9NEWS during weekdays.
Nick likes to mix it up in the community with his live shots around the seven county metro area during his weathercasts, and never tires of meeting all the great people at the many events he covers!
Nick Carter is originally from Chicago, but now qualifies as a semi native since he's been here for over 22 years!
Nick received his degree in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University in December of 1982. After a brief stint as Chief Meteorologist at KNOE TV in Monroe, Louisiana, Nick found himself in Denver, where he fell in love with our beautiful blue skies.
Nick loves to play in those skies, too. An avid airplane and glider pilot, Nick likes to share his love of flying as a part time flight instructor at Denver's Centennial Airport.
Nick also taught aviation weather, at Metropolitan State College in Denver.
When he's not flying, he's either backpacking or cycling in the back countries of Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. Nick also likes to barbecue on weekends, especially during football season, and when the fire danger is low!
Nick Carter holds the Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society.
He's also on the Advisory Committee for the Colorado Aviation Historical Society.
He's a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Air Power West, the Soaring Society of America and the Reno Air Racing Association.
