DENVER - As Colorado's News Leader, 9NEWS dominated a crowded local news landscape in the latest November ratings period, capturing the majority of news viewers in every time period. From the first rays of morning sunshine to the afternoon and evening and on into the dark of night, Colorado's local news viewers made 9NEWS the clear choice for news.
Nowhere was 9NEWS more dominant than in the morning news race. 9NEWS won the 4:30 a.m., 5 a.m., 5:30 a.m., 6 a.m. and the 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. time period on KTVD Channel 20. 9NEWS dominates the news audience with 45 - 66% of all news viewers in the mornings and on weekends.
9NEWS showed significant growth year-to-year in the following Monday to Friday news time periods while the competition saw their audiences dramatically erode: A 93% share increase at 4:30 a.m. A 70% increase at 5 a.m. Up 46% at 5:30 a.m. and 14% in share at 6 a.m. 9NEWS is far and away the clear choice of news viewers in the mornings.

9NEWS at 5 p.m. saw a 10% increase in rating year-to-year while 9NEWS at 6 p.m. won the local news race in its time period. NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams enjoys a dominating lead over its competition with a higher rating than both the CBS Evening News and ABC World News Tonight combined. From 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., 9NEWS dominates carrying between 44% and 66% of the news audience.

9NEWS wins every early evening newscast from Monday through Friday continuing a tradition of dominance in the time period.
In the late local news race, 9NEWS easily wins at 10 p.m. Monday through Sunday with a 71% higher rating than its nearest competitor.
Year-to-year, 9NEWS at 9 p.m. grew 7% in share and 9NEWS at 9:30 p.m. grew 18% in share while the only other news competitor saw significant decreases respectively.
