Denver, CO - This November, viewers again chose 9NEWS as Colorado's News Leader. In the first major ratings period featuring the use of Nielsen Media Research's Local People Meter (LPM) service, 9NEWS won every head-to-head newscast on KUSA.*
"The November numbers have been interesting to see now that the people meters are in place. 9NEWS sees a lot of opportunities coming out of this transition. People come to us because they know and trust the information they get from the networks of 9NEWS is the best" said 9NEWS President and General Manager, Mark Cornetta. "Across our platforms, whether it's KUSA, KTVD, Weather Plus or 9News.com and m.9News.com, our customers get the most complete, best reported information about their state or their neighborhood. A big thanks also goes out to all our viewers who made this year's 9Cares Colorado Shares food drive the biggest ever with 220 tons of food and $111,000 in cash donations."
The late newscast with Adele Arakawa, Bob Kendrick, Kathy Sabine and Drew Soicher was number one in Colorado with a 17 Household (HH) share. The 9NEWS Late News product received a 20 share, when you combine 9NEWS at 9PM (3 share) and 9NEWS at 10 (17 share).

Of particular value to viewers in November were the Your Money Marathon and Keep Colorado Working efforts spearheaded by business reporter, Gregg Moss. More than 14,000 people jammed the phone banks during the 12-hour Your Money Marathon featuring financial advice from more than 100 local financial experts. With the advent of the new LPM service from Nielsen Media Research, key ratings information is immediately available for the all-important 25-54 old demographic. "While overall the ratings across the market are lower year-to-year as a result of the new methodology of information coming from the people meters," said Cornetta, "it's especially gratifying to see that 9NEWS still performs very well among these viewers."
