During the ceremony, KUSA sportscaster, Drew Soicher won his second consecutive Best Sportscaster award. 9Wants to Know reporter Deborah Sherman also won Best Specialty Reporter for her second award in two years. Significantly, two 9NEWS documentaries, Bazi Kanani's "Reaching Rwanda" and Thanh Truong's "Vietnam: Journeys in Time" were honored by the CBA with first and second place awards, respectively.
