DENVER - Saturday, August 8, marks the Stuff for Students supply drive at the 9NEWS studio from 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Supplies will be collected and distributed by Volunteers of America to 15 area school districts in August.
From July 27 to August 9, blue barrels will be at Wal-Mart stores along the Front Range to collect supplies. All school supplies will benefit children in metro area school districts. Many Colorado families are struggling in these difficult economic times. The Stuff for Students drive is a great way to support a child's education.
Online donations can be made by visiting 9News.com and clicking on the Community section.
9NEWS is also accepting check/cash donations that will be used to purchase additional supplies. Checks can be made out to Stuff for Students and mailed to Stuff for Students, 9NEWS, 500 Speer Blvd, Denver, CO 80203.
