DENVER - While choosing a school is one of the most important decision parents make for their kids, parents often find themselves devoting more time and research to buying a new car. 9NEWS, The Piton Foundation, The Walton Family Foundation, Daniels Fund, Colorado Children's Campaign and Denver Public Libraries have teamed up to create a unique, free online tool designed to help parents navigate the process of choosing schools for their children.
Until now, the process has been confusing and frustrating for many parents because of the hundreds of schools from which to choose and the dozens of variables to consider. This free website helps demystify the academic data and application process, while still providing important information about things like transportation routes to schools, safety, and before- and after-school programs. The tool provides helpful facts about every public school in Colorado, as well as many independent schools.
