Denver, CO—Only days after moving it’s operations to the 9NEWS Studios, KTVD has now entered into an affiliate agreement with MyNetworkTV. KUSA and KTVD President and General Manager Mark Cornetta says Channel 20 will begin broadcasting the new network on September 5th. “We are pleased to have completed a deal to affiliate KTVD with the new My Network TV network beginning this fall,” said Cornetta. “The concept is exciting and one that we feel will be compelling television.”
Scheduled to launch on September 5th, MyNetworkTV is targeted to adults 18-49 and is expected to offer KTVD two hours of HD programming. “It will complement our existing line-up and late local newscast from 9-930pm. We look forward to a great relationship with our new network,” said Cornetta.
MyNetworkTV also announced agreements with several other stations today. Including the new stations in Denver, Miami, West Palm Beach, New Orleans, Columbus, Harrisburg and Jacksonville, the new network has surpassed its goal of reaching 90% of the United States by its fall launch date.
MyNetworkTV will serve 158 markets, including 48 of the top 50 markets, and 94 of the top 100. Announcements on the remaining two markets in the top 50 are expected shortly and discussions for additional affiliate deals will continue throughout the summer.
