Denver, CO— KTVD My 20 Denver (Comcast Channel 3) will broadcast the Hispanic Heritage Awards on Sunday October 29th, starting at 3 p.m.
The Hispanic Heritage Awards at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. is the most recognizable celebration of Hispanic culture, pride and accomplishment. The hour long special produced by NBC will be fast-paced, dynamic and colorful program that will include great performances and emotional tributes, while highlighting the tremendous accomplishments of the honorees.
For the 20th Anniversary, Honorees include: internationally known actor Antonio Banderas, Arts: Hall-Of-Fame baseball legend Juan Marichal, Sports; the first Latina president of a college or university Dr. Juliet Villarreal Garcia, Education; community activist and highest-ranking Latina in the Combat Support Field of the US Army, Lieutenant Colonel US Army (retired) Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch, Leadership; Chairman Emeritus of the Kennedy Center James A. Johnson, Vision; and internationally renowned recording artist Jose Feliciano, Lifetime Achievement.
The star-studded celebration will also include a tribute to Honorees from the past 20 years, including Celia Cruz, Anthony Quinn, Oscar de la Renta, Gloria Estefan and many others.
