Denver, CO– Over the past seven years Kirk Montgomery has done much more than just bring Denver the latest entertainment news and exclusive interviews with celebrities. Using his self-deprecating humor and wry wit he has entertained viewers during Four o'clock at 9NEWS, as he's done everything from riding a new roller coaster live to meeting some of the slithery co-stars of "Snakes on a Plane." Today 9NEWS announced that Kirk and his antics are here to stay.
9NEWS and Kirk Montgomery reached an agreement on a multi-year contract. "I'm excited," Montgomery said. "9News supports the local arts, and I'm thrilled they want me to continue to be a part of it."
Kirk joined the 9NEWS team in March 2001. He won the Emmy in 2003 and again in 2005. During his time in Denver he has won numerous Associated Press awards, as well as "Best Of" awards from "Westword" in 2004 and 2005.
