Denver, CO The National League Champion Colorado Rockies and 9News today agreed to a two-year contract extension that keeps the Rockies over-the-air broadcasts on My20 Denver for the 2008 and 2009 seasons.
The agreement extends a multi-year relationship between the Rockies and 9NEWS as My20 Denver (Comcast Channel 3) will continue to televise 24 games each year. The majority of the Rockies broadcasts on My20 will air on Sunday afternoons throughout the season.
"9News is a broadcast leader in our community and they have been a great partner for both the Rockies and our fans," said Greg Feasel Rockies Senior Vice President, Business Operations. "Our broadcasts on My20 Denver will continue the tradition of delivering great televised baseball throughout the Rocky Mountain Region."
"The Rockies amazed everyone with their stunning run through the playoffs and to the World Series," said 9NEWS General Manager Mark Cornetta. "We know Coloradoans will be watching when the Rockies take the field next season. We're excited to continue our relationship with The Colorado Rockies' organization and to bring the excitement into people's living rooms."
