Denver, CO - - 9Health Fair announced today that more than 19,000 medical professionals and non-medical people are needed from April 12-20, 2008 to help deliver Colorado's largest, volunteer-driven health fair program in more than 155 communities.
Phlebotomists, Registered Nurses, Doctors, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT), Nurse Practioners, Pharmacists and more are needed to help draw blood and perform other free screenings like osteoporosis, Pap smears, skin screenings, and to call participants with critical or alert health situations. 9Health Fair, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, promotes health awareness and encourages individuals to assume responsibility for their own health.
"9Health Fair provides anyone 18 and older with an opportunity to get involved and to impact the health and wellness of people in their community," said Jim Goddard, president and CEO of 9Health Fair. "Volunteers are the lifeblood of 9Health Fair, and our community program would not be possible without their generous dedication and support."
Other medical screenings offered include oral, blood pressure, vision, fasting finger stick glucose, lung function, hearing, prostate/testicular screening, foot, body in balance and breast. Non-medical volunteers are needed to help 9Health Fair participants register, check forms, direct traffic flow, conduct height/weight/body mass index screenings and much more.
