Denver, CO– This year, 9NEWS not only won more Emmys than any other station in the Heartland Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, but for the 4th year in a row KUSA received the biggest honor of the night–the Emmy for Station of Excellence.
On Saturday night Four O'clock @ 9NEWS won the Daytime Newscast category, Your Show claimed the Interactivity Emmy, 9NEWS Meteorologist Marty Coniglio once again received the Emmy for Weather Anchor, and Kirk Montgomery was honored with the Emmy for Performer. 9NEWS Reporter Chris Vanderveen was the most decorated 9NEWS staff member, winning five awards for Commentator/Editorialist, General Assignment Report, News Feature, News Feature Series, and Writer.
During the ceremony 9NEWS Reporter Ward Lucas was also inducted into the Heartland Chapter's Silver Circle.
