KUSA - 9NEWS would like to thank everyone who participated in the #COFloodRelief fundraiser Wednesday night.

More than $1 million was raised at the event for victims of the flooding. The final total was $1,066,656.

These funds will be going to the American Red Cross Mile High Chapter and Community Food Share, which supports three area food banks: Weld County Food Bank, Food Bank of Larimer County and Community Food Share in Boulder County.

All the Denver television stations teamed up for this effort.

If you called Wednesday night, you may have even heard some current or former Denver Broncos, who helped answer phone calls.

"Hi everyone, Peyton Manning here," one of the recordings said during the phone bank. "Governor Hickenlooper asked me to team up with him today on something very important. As you know, the recent floods have devastated Colorado. This unprecedented disaster has taken lives and destroyed many homes. So, I'm here to ask that you consider joining me by donating whatever you can to our fellow Coloradans affected by these floods."
