KUSA - Lots of people's mobile technology has been ruined by Colorado floodwater. A company named Dry Ventures is helping them dry it out for free.
They've come up with DryBox Rescue, a new machine designed to completely dry wet phones and small electronic devices of all moisture in 25 minutes. DryBox Rescue executive David Naumann says the company has a success rate of 80% in saving devices along with contacts, pictures and data.
Naumann says the DryBox Rescue system utilizes a patent-pending drying chamber as part of a process that rapidly removes moisture at the molecular level.
He's had the machine in Longmont to assist flood victims for free, and will continue to do so as long as he believes there is a need.
Naumann is encouraging flood victims to bring their damaged mobile devices to the Flood Assistance Center at the Twin Peaks Mall in Longmont.
