'Power Rangers' turns 20

NEW YORK CITY - Go, go Power Rangers! February marks the 20th anniversary that the Red, Pink, Black, Yellow and Blue Rangers first came on the scene.

The costumed-heroes gained popularity for fighting evil with a combination of super powers, martial arts and special gadgets.

To celebrate the milestone, Power Rangers is launching a new series called Power Rangers Megaforce on Nickelodeon.

The colorful rangers will also be roaming the streets of Manhattan, visiting famous areas, such as Times Square and the New York Stock Exchange.

The long-running series began in 1993 as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and became the most-watched television program in the U.S. The show continues to be the top live-action kids action series on television.
