KUSA - America's toughest trainer is out with a new book she says has all her insider secrets to wellness. It is called "Slim For Life."
Jilian Michaels told 9NEWS, the first step is to take your own emotional inventory so you can find your authentic self.
"Let's say every hour, stop and say 'What am I doing right now?'" Michaels said. "'Am I happy doing this or not?' So many of us go through our lives in this kind of one-foot-in-front-of-the-other, numbed-out, doing what we think we have to do without ever realizing that we can do what we love to do. That's OK. In fact, that's your most natural state. But in order to figure it out, you first need to be really present and conscious of how you feel when you're engaging in different activities to learn what you love. That's the key."
