USA TODAY - New online concert venue Evntlive boasts its biggest headliner yet with a live stream of Bon Jovi's U.S. tour-ending performance tonight in San Jose.
All can watch the first 30 minutes of the concert for free (go to evntlive.com to register). Then viewers will be asked to join the Backstage with Bon Jovi club.
Evntlive opened its virtual doors in beta mode last week and has a lineup of on-demand performances to watch ($2.99 - $3.99) including Shelby Lynne, Flogging Molly and Gogol Bordello.
Viewers can watch the online stream via computer or mobile devices and tablets and simultaneously share Twitter and Facebook updates about the event. "The whole idea behind Evntlive is to build an online interactive concert venue and to have a mix of video on-demand shows you can watch at any time, they could be from 30 years ago or yesterday, for rent on a pay-per-view basis, in addition to interactive livestreams," says chief marketing officer David Carrico. "We're treating both in a social interactive fashion."
Evntlive also aims to bring other live aspects to its new virtual venue including multiple viewing aspects and shopping for music and merchandise.
