Gadgets: Toy finalists of the year and more

KUSA - A robot dog named Zoomer that listens to commands. A remote controlled Lego cobra. These are some of the toys that are finalists for Toy of the Year.

We looked at both of them ( for this edition of Gadgets. "For a toy to be eligible for the Toy of the Year awards it needs to be currently sold at retail and introduced in the last two years," said Adrienne Appell of the Toy Industry Association.

Other standouts include a new Elmo doll that hugs, a Disney doll (Sofia) that talks to animals, and a bracelet making kit.

Laser Pegs Runners

It's not a Toy Of The Year Finalist, but it's fun. Laser Pegs Runners are similar to Legos; they're plastic blocks with a twist. You can light up your creation when done.

Bubble Bomber: RC Helicopter

This RC Helicopter blasts bubbles at the push of a button.
