KUSA - This edition of Gadgets includes the next evolution in the scooter. It's called the Sbyke.


The Sbyke is part bike, part skateboard. A 20 inch BMX wheel rolls over cracks in the sidewalk and other obstacles. It connects to a wide maple deck for side-by-side foot placement. There's a hand brake for security and safety; rear-steering makes turning smooth.

A former pilot has come up with a way to attach a lightweight airplane motor to a paper airplane that is then controlled with an iPhone. He says each plane has a range of 180 feet and can fly for 10 minutes. He's in the midst of a kickstarter campaign to raise 50 thousand dollars so he can start production. Learn more at
