KUSA - Most gardens need more height. Use a tower on your patio, in your bed or in a sunny window to create a stunning visual focal point.
Mine is store-bought and constructed of metal, but a ladder could be adapted for this, or you could build your own from scrap wood or re-purpose a bookcase. Customize it with spray paint and colorful ceramic pots. Orange and blue are recommended, of course, at this time of year.
Flowering and foliage plants in this tower include blue cineraria daisies, orange kalanchoe, African violets, orchids, bromeliads, croton and begonias. There's no limit to the possibilities; use vases and glassware to enhance the theme. It can be changed seasonally and to celebrate various holidays.
Plants and pots are courtesy of Tagawa Gardens.
