DENVER – The 25th Annual "A Taste of Colorado" wrapped up on Monday night after offering sample foods from more than 50 of Colorado's favorite restaurants.
Organizers estimated 500,000 people attended the festival over Labor Day weekend.
Here are some numbers from the event of what the public ate:
- 50,000 ears of corn on the cob
- 40,000 pounds of turkey legs
- 1,100 gallons of barbecue sauce
- 2,000 pounds of chocolate
- 15,000 tortillas
- 11,000 pounds of shrimp
- 8,000 pounds of pizza dough
- 35,000 ribs
- 25,000 pounds of funnel cakes
- 20,000 wings
- 100,000 slices of tomatoes
- 29,000 Starbucks samples
- 75,000 Aquafresh samples
Also at A Taste of Colorado there were:
- 1,100 test drives of the Kia Borrego
- 40,000 Party City balloons
