Edna Mosley was a member of the Aurora City Council from 1991-2003. She served as the Community Co-Chair of the Future of Fitzsimmons Initiative, a coalition of community, business and veterans groups working to retain Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado.
During the process of closing Lowry Air Force Training Center, Mosley served as a member of the Lowry Economic Recovery Project Executive Committee.
Mosley has a long and distinguished career as a professional in the areas of equal opportunity and affirmative action, community relations and community development. She is a well-known fund-raiser for community activities and has received numerous awards for community service volunteerism.
She was named distinguished alumnus of Metropolitan State College in 1986 and Business Woman of the Year 1984 by the Aurora Area Business and Professional Women. She received the Humanitarian Award by the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission in 1988 and the Juanita Gray Community Service Award for the Denver Public Library in 1989.
Mosley is a founding member of the Women's Bank of Denver and a charter member of the Women's Forum of Colorado. She has a notable interest in international relations, having served as the president of Denver Sister Cities International and as a member of the Governor's Trade Mission to the Peoples' Republic of China in 1988.
Edna is married to John Mosley and they have four grown kids. Edna and her husband still reside in Aurora, CO.
