9Cares Colorado Shares is proud to serve communities along the Front Range. We pass on the food, clothing, and toys collected during our drives to local non profit organizations that in turn help people in need.
9Cares Colorado Shares does NOT provide direct assistance to individuals. We refer those in need to the organizations that receive our donations. If you require immediate assistance, call 211 (Colorado's toll free social service assistance line).
Food
All of the food collected during the 9Cares Colorado Shares is distributed to more than 125 food banks in Colorado. Those in need are encouraged to contact the food bank in your community. A complete list of 9Cares food banks is available by CLICKING HERE.
Toys
Toys collected at our Holiday Drive are distributed by the Santa Claus Shops. For more than 75 years the Santa Claus Shops have shared the Christmas spirit with more than 750,000 needy elementary school aged children. The Santa Claus Shops distributes certificates to eligible parents, enabling them to select Christmas gifts for their children. To find out how you an get toys, CLICK HERE.
Clothing
All clothing donations are collected by either Goodwill Industries or ARC Thrift Stores. Based on the value, 9News receives clothing vouchers from both Goodwill and ARC. These vouchers are then distributed to local nonprofit clothing banks. Clients in need of clothing can receive vouchers that will allow them to visit a Goodwill or ARC Thrift Store and shop for their appropriate clothing needs. For more information CLICK HERE.
