DENVER - As the cat population at the Dumb Friends League increases, adoption fees are decreasing in an effort to place the felines in homes across the metro area.
Hundreds of adult cats (one year and older) are available for adoption for $25. The lowered rate runs through the end of October.
"If people are thinking of adopting a cat, now is the time," Bob Rohde said, Dumb Friends League president. "We also hope that people might consider adopting two cats for the $25 adoption fee. Many cats do better in pairs, as they are highly sociable and enjoy each other's company."
DFL Communications and Marketing Specialist Kristina Vourax added, "The spay/neuter service is included in the adoption fee as well as preliminary vaccinations and a microchip implant."
DFL also has opportunities for people who are not ready to adopt but want to help. Foster care opportunities are available. To become a foster parent contact the shelter at 303-751-5772 ext. 7627 or visit www.ddfl.org.
