How do I get 9NEWS programming in HDTV?

KUSA Channel 9 is currently transmitting from a low power HD transmitter in Downtown Denver (Ch.16 UHF). This site services most of the metro area, but your location/topography and type of antenna will have an impact on receiving this service.

You will need an outdoor UHF antenna that should be pointed towards downtown Denver.  We are awaiting final approval for a new facility on Lookout Mountain, and once this approval is granted it will take approximately a year to construct and bring on line.

This facility will allow for "Rabbit Ear" type indoor antenna's to be used and extend this service to all of our normal viewing area.

Comcast cable, Dish Network and DirecTV are now carrying KUSA in HDTV.  

Over 80% of NBC primetime shows are now broadcast in High Definition. This is in addition to the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" five nights a week and other special programs throughout the year.
