AURORA - A pumpkin patch came to children who couldn't go to it on Wednesday.

Close to 200 pumpkins arrived at The Children's Hospital in Aurora.

May Farms donated the pumpkins and police and firefighters helped set up the pumpkin patch.

A short time later the kids came out to pick out a favorite.

This was the second year for the pumpkin patch.

Volunteers with the Cardiac Kids program got it organized. They know what this means to the children.

"It's amazing, having my own cardiac kid and knowing what it's like to stay in the hospital - it is the best feeling to see a kid light up. To be able to offer them that experience is amazing. And that's why we do events like this," Tracy McGatlin, a Cardiac Kids volunteer, said.

The pumpkins will all be turned into Jack-O-Lanterns in the coming weeks.
