DENVER - Halloween may still be a week and a half away, but that's no reason not to put on that costume now and hit the streets of Denver.
Friday, Oct. 23 is your chance to get out in costume and help raise money for two important causes.
The 10th annual Scream Scram is a 5k Halloween run/walk (in costume) at Washington Park benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.
Last year's Scream Scram hosted more than 1,000 participants and raised more than $8,000 for the NMSS. Racers receive a glow in the dark T-shirt, food and the chance to win prizes as well as the ghoulishly good feeling of helping out a great cause.
The Scream Scram is this Friday at 6 p.m. at the southeast corner of Washington Park in Denver. The race is $25 for adults ($29 on race day), $15 for kids 10 and under and seniors 60 or older ($19 on race day).
