The Holidays have never been more ferocious than during Zoo Lights! Between December 7th and January 6th, you can see animals in their nocturnal activities and enjoy some of the most spectacular lighting displays in Denver.

Zoo Lights!
When: December 7th-January 6th, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: Denver Zoo, 2300 Steele Street in Denver

This annual holiday tradition will shine brighter than ever with added animal viewing opportunities, more than 35 brilliantly illuminated acres of lights and the opportunity for children to visit with Santa Claus.

Festivities will also include carolers, instrumental groups, dancers and the Conservation Carousel. Warming stations are located throughout the zoo offering roasted nuts, hot chocolate, cider, soft bread pretzels and steamy cappuccino.

Zoo Lights Member Preview
When: December 6th, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This exclusive event will allow members a sneak-peak at Denver Zoo’s largest annual celebration before it is unveiled to the public.

Wild Ice
When:
December 15th to December 23rd, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Visit a special ice carving garden, filled with numerous carvings created by Santa's helpers with power tools.

Kwanzaa
When:
December 26th to December 30th, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Gather with friends, family and the community to celebrate the cultural holiday of Kwanzaa, a tradition that honors African American heritage through African dance, music, and education.

Zoo Year's Eve
When:
December 31st, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On the brink of a brand new year, children can also experience the fun of Zoo Year’s Eve, a wild New Year’s Eve party beginning at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 with entertainment, activities and crafts that lead up to an early countdown to New Year at 9 p.m. It’s the perfect night for families to celebrate together without stretching the limit on bedtime!

When you come out to the zoo, you'll not only want to remember to dress warmly, but also to bring a bag of food for 9Cares Colorado Shares. When you bring a non-perishable donation to the Denver Zoo will give you $1 off your admission to Zoo Lights!

Volunteers will be stationed just outside the zoo's main entrance. Donations will benefit local food banks in the 9Cares Colorado Shares network.
