"We expect to continue to add jobs all across the state. A lot of sectors are improving including construction, food and [agriculture,] energy and financial services," Ken Lund, Executive Director of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, said.
Lund says he is optimistic about the future growth because of what Colorado continues to offer.
"The activity is the byproduct of a couple of different things. First of all, Colorado has a great business climate - the governor has made that a priority in his Colorado blueprint," he said. "The second is our workforce is one of the best in the country."
While he believes many of the sectors are on the rise, Lund also address the fiscal cliff issue which worries many in Colorado - how big of hit the defense and space will take.
"We're working really hard with the industry right now," Lund said. "Early February we're going to release a business plan for growth in the aerospace sector."
