DENVER (AP) - Denver recreation centers, libraries and several city agencies will be closed Friday as many city employees take a furlough day.

It is the third of four planned furlough days planned this year to help the city save money. Each furlough day is expected to save about $1 million for the general fund. The next furlough day is scheduled for Nov. 27.

Not all city employees have the day off. Firefighters, police and sheriff's officials will still work on Friday. City golf courses will still be open, and parking meters will be enforced.
