Between cooking, cleaning and stretching the family dollar, it's no doubt why more and more stay-at-home moms are looking for an extra boost to the family budget.

It's one of the reasons why Suzanne Miller, mom of two, took a friend's suggestion. Her business of taking photos has taken off.

Amber Johnson of the Denver Post's says there are more options than ever for stay-at-home moms who want to make a little extra money.

"There's everything from virtual assistants, to online tours to people managing chats," Johnson said.

Crafty moms have a new way to sell their wares using

"Basically, is - you buy and sell crafts or products or service," Johnson said. "Everything is handmade."

Big companies are also looking for sales moms like Heidi Browne.

"I sell Stella and Dot jewelry," Browne said.

Johnson noted, "They're a step up from the Tupperware parties of yesteryear."

With the potential to earn a good chunk of money, moms should not expect the money to just start rolling in.

"You have to work at it," Browne said. "You have to constantly think of times to make phone calls or [send] emails."

Also, invest time in researching.

"You see those ads for work-at-home moms [who can] earn $500 a day or whatever, and you have to work through that," Johnson said.

Miller felt confident enough in the purse company GiGi Hill to also sell their bags.

It's just another side job that may turn into a job that never ends. Just like blogging.

Some moms are using their blogs to discuss potty-training and products. They are making money by publicizing brands and gaining followers.

"The first thing is to have an idea," Johnson said. "Specifically to have an idea that's different and your own voice."

From getting paid to test products to holding parties, blogging mommies can make six figures.
