Sanctuary executive director Pat Craig talked about where the animals at the sanctuary came from.
"We were able to go up there with that tragedy they had up there last year and rescue eight animals from Ohio. These are four of the African lions that came from there. They were pretty malnourished and in bad shape, but they're recovering pretty quickly," Craig said.
Craig also talked about the animal's rough history.
"The sanctuary takes in large carnivores from all over the western hemisphere where they've been abused, abandoned or illegally kept. So all of these animals came out of really abusive situations, and now we give them new life here where they can live in large-acre habitats," Craig said.
