Latest storms don’t match up to 1913

DENVER - Many storm-weary Coloradans are saying, “Enough, already! Bring on the better weather.”

Five major snowstorms have hit the state in the last five weeks. All together, they’ve dumped more than 4 feet of snow.

However, Colorado’s history shows a worse storm that dumped as much in two days as our last five storms combined.

On December 4, 1913, an upslope blizzard hammered the eastern foothills with anywhere from 4 to 7 feet of snow.
