The Marsh family's rental home was leveled by a tornado that tried to suck them out of the home over the weekend.

When Saturday's tornado outbreak happened 130 tornadoes dropped out of the sky in four states. At the very southern edge of the severe line is Woodward, Okla.

After living in Colorado for 30 years, Shawn Marsh and his family moved to Woodward in October so he could take a job in the oil fields.

Saturday at 11 p.m., a tornado hidden in the darkness touched down six blocks from their home. Shawn, his wife, their three kids and two dogs raced for the bathtub and huddled inside.

"As soon as that door blew off, it was just like a huge vacuum and we became weightless. My wife and I became weightless and you could feel it start to suck us out of the house. So it picked us up and it moved us 3 to 4 feet and as soon as it picked us up, it dropped us," Marsh said.

Their rental home is gone and most of their possessions lost. The Marsh family says they will now return to Colorado thankful for what they still have - each other.

"When it was all done and over, the kids were sitting upright in the tub and there was like a frame that fell perfect over their heads, just right over the top of them, and none of them had a scratch on them," Marsh said.

Marsh's sister sent us a news tip about their story and also told us his wife tried to get renters insurance last week. Agents told her computer issues kept them from being able to complete the process in time.
