Englert, 56 - who has been at the middle school for nearly 20 years - was arrested at his home Thursday, which is his birthday.
His first court appearance originally was scheduled for Wednesday but was rescheduled to 3:30 p.m. Monday in Weld County District Court in Greeley.
At that hearing, Englert will hear the charges he faces and learn the date of his next court appearance. He has been released from jail after placing bond.
Assistant Principal Eric Johnson has been named interim principal while Englert was placed on paid, administrative leave.
