JEFFERSON COUNTY - Two days of fun in the snow, means two more days of school in June for Jefferson County Public School students.

During the October snowstorm, school was cancelled for two days last week. However, many parents and students may not have realized these days will be made up at the end of the school year.

A closer look at the district's Web site explains the policy. On the family calendar page, the policy is clear; "School will be held on June 1 and/or 2 if there are any emergency closure days for your child's school during the school year."

As for what happens if there are any additional snow days this school year; a spokesperson for Jeffco Public Schools says the decision will be up to the superintendent.
