Austin Reed Sigg, 17, is enrolled at Arapahoe Community College, which has Colorado's only accredited mortuary-science program.

The ACC mortuary-science program prepares students to be funeral directors, embalmers and morticians.

Sigg, who is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds, was arrested Tuesday evening.

Sources tell 9NEWS the mother of the suspect somehow found out about the teen's possible involvement in Jessica Ridgeway's disappearance. She called the police Tuesday night to turn him in.

The suspect's parents divorced in 2000.

The suspect was enrolled in the Jefferson County School District from 5th to 11th grades.

He attended Witt Elementary, Wayne Carle Middle School and Standley Lake High School. He also attended WarrenTech, a career and technical high school.

The last enrollment date for Sigg in the school district was in July 2012. He did not receive a Jeffco schools diploma.

According to yearbook photos, Sigg was involved in concert choir while at Jeffco Schools.

A friend of the suspect told 9Wants to Know that Sigg played a lot of online games, including World of Warcraft and Call of Duty, which are first-person shooting games.

Brooke Olds is a neighbor of Sigg.

"He was very shy and kept to himself, Brooke said. "I would say he was goth just from the way he dressed. He never really talked about his family or friends, and I've never seen him with other people ... like I've always seen him walking by himself, writing by himself outside - not with other people."
