VIEW MOST WANTED
DENVER - Law enforcement agencies around the state have captured half of 50 fugitives on Colorado's 50 Most Wanted in just three months, the highest number arrested this quickly in the history of the program.

The most recent arrest was No. 37, Robert Tune, who had fled to Georgia. Tune was wanted on a second-degree assault charge and a parole violation. The U.S. Marshals service arrested Tune, he'd been on the run for three years.

It took all year in 2008 to arrest just 33 of the 50 most wanted. This is the 14th year they've done the top 50 round-up.

Also behind bars since law enforcement launched the 50 most wanted intitiative in March: No. 3 Nickie Rico, 5 Carlos Dalatorre, No. 6 Dushawn Walters, No. 7 Scott Mendoza, No. 10 Luiz Chavez-Hernandez, No. 11 Sondra Williams, No. 13 Cherl Fugett, No. 14 Manuel Hernandez, No. 16 William Sandoval, No. 17 Aaron Buffard, No. 21 Eligah Crumpton, No. 22 Arturo Garcia, No. 24 Ira Crump, No. 27 Christopher Bates, No. 28 John Salazar, No. 29 Frederick Bauer, No. 30 Gerald Kirby, No. 35 Keith Hughes, No. 38 Tyrone Flakes, No. 40 Timothy Carr, No. 42 Thadius Martin, No. 43 Gina Trujillo, and No. 49 Bill Maldonado.

No. 45 Richard Williams is listed as deceased.

"We can't do this without the support of the community, their donations and their tips," said Mike Mills, Crime Stoppers Board President.

The criminals range from murderers to sex offenders to white-collar criminals.

They were just some of the 39,000 people in Colorado who have warrants out for their arrests.

"Many of the people that these fugitives units chase are career criminals. And when they're not in jail they're out victimizing additional people," said Division Chief Dave Fisher of the Denver Police Department. "We don't know where they are. But they're dangerous no matter where they may be."

"We need to get all 50 taken care of as quickly as we can; get them incarcerated, get them where they need to be and then begin the next cycle of 50," said Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson. "These people all victimized members of our community, up and down the Front Range and across the state."

If you have a tip, you can call Crime Stoppers anonymously and receive up to a $2,000 reward.
