DENVER -Police are still looking for suspects in a carjacking that happened a month ago where the main suspect missed getting into the stolen car, but managed to escape capture anyway.
Denver Police say a woman was carjacked after leaving the Bradley gas station located near East Alameda Avenue and Downing Street on May 24 at 2:20 a.m. Three men approached her as she stopped at a red light after pulling out of the parking lot. They opened her doors and tossed her out of the car.
Police say she was dragged for a few second before freeing herself from her moving car. She was not seriously injured.
The person police are calling the main suspect, the man who had followed the woman through the inside of the gas station before the carjacking and then outside to her car, didn't make it into the car before his friends drove away.
While he was able to flee the scene on foot, he left behind a picture on the surveillance cameras.
The woman's car was later recovered but police still want to find the man in the surveillance pictures. If you know who he is or know more about this carjacking call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
You could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
