LAKEWOOD - Police are looking for two women they believe may have been involved in a series of car break-ins.

The women are also suspected of stealing and using credit cards stolen from the cars.

Police have pictures of the women from a surveillance camera inside a King Soopers store at 7964 W. Alameda Ave. The pictures were taken on July 9.

Earlier that evening, a woman who returned from a hike at the Hayden Green Mountain Trailhead found her car broken into and her purse stolen. Her credit cards were in the purse.

The women in the surveillance pictures from King Soopers were trying to use the woman's credit cards, according to police.

Lakewood police detectives say they have had similar cases in the area and they suspect the same two women might be responsible for the crimes.

Anyone with information about the case should contact Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
