DENVER (AP) - Passenger traffic at Denver International Airport dipped slightly in September after setting records in July and August.

Airport officials said Wednesday that about 4 million passengers used the airport in September, representing a 0.2 percent drop from September 2008.

Through September, 38.3 million passengers have passed through the airport this year, down 2.5 percent from the same period last year.

Aviation Manager Kim Day said Wednesday that traffic is rebounding as the economy improves. She says the airport should finish the year with passenger traffic only slightly below the record set last year of about 51.2 million people.
