In a lawsuit filed in Weld District Court, Vestas alleges Denna Randall and her husband, Joshua Martinez, of Eaton diverted company funds for private use and bought personal goods with a company credit card. Randall was hired as the Windsor plant's former director of finance and information technology in August 2007, the lawsuit said.
The couple did not return a phone message seeking comment Tuesday.
Kevin Cory, director of people and culture for the Windsor plant, would not comment on the lawsuit but told the Greeley Tribune that the company forwarded its information to the district attorney's office for an investigation. No criminal charges have been filed so far.
The lawsuit alleges Randall had use of a company credit card but took out an extra credit card in Vestas' name, unbeknownst to others at the company. According to the lawsuit, Randall and her husband used the credit card to purchase at least $186,000 worth of automobiles, furniture, household goods, plane tickets, hotel rooms and other goods, with Vestas paying the monthly bill.
The lawsuit accuses her of instructing U.S. Bank to stop sending detailed monthly credit card statements to Vestas.
The lawsuit also alleges Randall and her husband deposited company checks into various personal accounts.
