A judge ruled a cleaning company must pay a woman $65,000 for the negligent death of her dog.
Robin Lohre hired Posh Maids to clean her home last August. She returned to find the cleaners gone, and her dog, Ruthie, dead under a table.
Lohre says it wasn't until she called the cleaning service that she found out Ruthie had gotten out and was hit by a car.
"It really wasn't about the money. For me it was about taking responsibility. Accidents happen but there wasn't at any point in time in this case responsibility taken," Lohre said.
The owner of Posh Maids declined to comment on the judge's ruling.
