Surgeons put tiny telescopes into eyes to help vision

The CentraSight treatment is for people who have advanced forms of age-related macular degeneration.

To put the telescope in, a surgeon takes out the eye's natural lens and replaces it with the telescope.

After the surgery, the patients have to work on how to use the new vision. That includes just sitting still or moving around.
