Video: Parent volunteer accused of molesting teen

Lynne Freeman, 38.

Greeley Police say Freeman, 38, was re-arrested Thursday evening on sexual assault charges. She was handcuffed shortly after she bonded out of the Weld County Jail on the original complaint.

Freeman is a volunteer at a Greeley charter school. She was originally arrested for allegedly performing a sex act on a 14-year-old boy back in April 2012. The incident was not reported until June 10, 2012.

According to the arrest affidavit, the first victim says he was visiting Freeman at home when the assault happened.

He claims he was over at Freeman's home with a friend watching a movie when Freeman allegedly told that friend to take the dog outside.

When the friend took the dog outside, Freeman allegedly grabbed the victim and told him "come with me," the arrest affidavit says.

The victim says Freeman took him upstairs, went into a closet, locked the door, kissed him, removed his pants and then performed oral sex on him.

After the encounter, he says Freeman warned him to not tell anyone. The affidavit says she allegedly told him that telling people would "mess up" his baseball career and would lead to Freeman losing her children to Social Services. The victim claimed Freeman told him that "if he had any thoughts about what just happened, or anything about the incident began to bother him, he should call her and she would talk him through it."

According to the arrest affidavit, Freeman repeatedly asked the victim to keep quiet.

The arrest affidavit says police met with the victim and had the victim call Freeman. According to the document, during that recorded conversation, the victim told Freeman he did not think what they previously did together was "the right thing." She agreed, according to police, but kept asking the victim if he had told anyone.

"Because, you know, I 100 percent trusted you, and if you ever ... I mean ... I just felt like you understood what would happen, and the trust that we apparently had in each other."

The victim then assured Freeman that he had not told anyone. At that point, Freeman allegedly said "I don't know why at the time I truly with 100 percent of my heart, truly, trusted that you wouldn't. I hope that's true."

Freeman then stopped the conversation.

An officer then contacted Freeman and told her about the charge she would be facing.

Freeman has two daughters, age 7 and 13. She is not allowed to be around them - or any minor for that matter - as a condition of the pending charge.

Greeley Police are still investigating the allegation. Freeman's bond was set at $25,000 for the original charge.

Her next court appearance was scheduled for Monday.

Editor's Note: 9NEWS originally reported that Lynne Freeman was a teacher's aide at University Schools. This information was provided to us by the Greeley Police Department. We have since learned Freeman only volunteered at the school.
