Robber dubbed 'Clearinghouse Bandit' strikes 11 banks

The robber enters the bank, presents a demand note, and flees. Witnesses say the suspect carries what appears to be a magazine during the robberies.

The nickname comes from the Publishers Clearing House, an American company that offers discounted magazine subscriptions.

"The Clearinghouse Bandit" is described as a black male, 25 to 40 years of age, approximately 6'0" to 6'5" in height, 220 to 260 pounds, with a heavy build.

The suspect is believed to be responsible for the following bank robberies:
