The first call came in around 7 a.m. of a small fire in a trailer home.
When crews arrived, the fire was out, but they found another unit was on fire in a different trailer.
Three people were in the home at the time. They were able to get out safely. One person had minor injuries, but they did not go to the hospital.
Five cats died in the fire, however firefighters were able to save five fish, two ferrets and a dog.
Ten people were evacuated to the Lakewood Link. At the height of the firefighting, 16 people were evacuated. All people were returned to their homes around noon except for the owners of the home which caught on fire.
The cause of the fire was extended pressure on a gas line. Crews were able to see the fire was fueled by gas, so they shut off the gas and electricity.
It is unknown at this time how many units are in the park and how many were affected by the fire and gas leak.
Xcel Energy is determining which units can have the gas turned back on also.
