Those who closely watch the ski industry say this season is important considering the dismal season that was just recorded.
Ralf Garrison who tracks the industry trends for a living says resort reservations are down 4 percent from this time last year and occupancy is down 12 percent for the month of December.
The industry is really waiting on mother nature.
Garrison says there seems to be a hangover from last season. He says while early season bookings are slow, late season reservations in February and March are strong. He believes many out-of-state guests are waiting until later in the season to visit, as an assurance there will be enough snow.
